As usual, the AMBS Basketball Program is filled with excitement, teamwork, endurance, and most of all... FUN!

The 3/4 Girls are an exciting team to watch.  They are understanding  the game very quickly.  As the season has progressed they have improved each game.  Look for this team to make a deep run into the playoffs come February.

The 3/4 Boys have a talented bunch of 3rd grade boys eager to learn the game.  The experienced 4th grade boys are helping their fellow teammates out with the "rights and wrongs" of the game.  The team also could make a nice run in the playoffs.

The 5/6 Girls have a 3-3 record.  On a positive note, all the games that they have lost have been decided by a few points.  A couple of bad bounces here and there and this team could be undefeated.  Their experience on the 6th grade level and talent on the 5th grade level make them a dominant force.

The 5/6 Boys look to make another championship run.  The talent on this team is unreal.  They must stay healthy and committed and they will find themselves in the championship again for the second year in a row, but maybe this year we will have a different result!!!

The 7/8 Girls have split into two teams this year due to the large number of players.  Both teams are improving as the season progresses.  Injuries have hurt both teams, but look for each team to make a run in the playoffs.

The 7/8 Boys are 3-4.  Once again, a big injury to a promising player has hurt this team.  They have fought hard in all their games and with a little luck, this team can go deep in the playoffs.

Overall the program has been a huge success this year so far.  I have seen an improvement with all teams from day one til about mid-season.  I am confident that our coaches and players will pull together for our stretch run into the playoffs. I look forward to seeing a few upsets in the playoffs along with some exciting games in our own gym.  Please come support your AMBS Spartans!!!!
