U.S. Secretary of Education John B. King Jr. announced this week the 329 National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2016...and the Academy of the Most Blessed Sacrament is one of them!   AMBS was named an Exemplary High Performing School with our nationally normed test scores in the top 15%!   We were one of only 50 private schools to receive this prestigious award this year!

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors public and private elementary, middle, and high schools where students achieve very high learning standards or are making notable improvements in closing the achievement gap.  This award affirms the hard work of our students, educators, families, and community in creating a safe and welcoming school where students master challenging content.  National Blue Ribbon Schools are an inspiration and a model for schools still striving for excellence.

Now in its 34th year, the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has bestowed this coveted award on fewer than 8,500 schools.  On November 7 and 8, the Department will formally recognize the schools – including AMBS – at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.

Congratulations to the entire AMBS Community!!!

May God continue to bless our school!!!

Please note that after remarks by the Secretary of Education, AMBS is recognized around the 13:20 minute mark.
