Aquinas School STREAM Program Holds Ground Breaking STREAM Fair

This is the image for the news article titled Aquinas School STREAM Program Holds Ground Breaking STREAM FairOn Thursday February 2nd, the Academy of the Most Blessed Sacrament held its first annual STREAM fair.  After three months of rigorous preparation spearheaded by science teacher Mrs. Wetzel, and Technology and STREAM Teacher, Mrs. Hogan the Aquinas school students in grades 6 through 8 put together presentations that attempted to tackle problems that plague the developing world.  Projects focused on creating and marketing workable solutions that covered issues in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals such as renewable energy, water desalination, creating a natural pesticide, creating a working exercise and others.  The winners will go on to compete against other schools in the Arch Diocese later in March.  

Mrs. Bednarek created a "Save Our Sea Life" exhibit out of recycled materials which was also on display during the fair.
