Hi! My name is Julianna Finocchiaro and I am AMBS’s new art teacher for 2021-2022. I’ve been drawing and creating things since I could hold a pencil, so when I got older and had to choose a career, I had no doubts about choosing art.
When I decided to pursue art as my career, I chose Montclair State University and graduated in December 2020 with my BFA in Illustration and Animation. Throughout college, I taught art by tutoring in our Illustration program. I've also taught digital and traditional art to younger kids and teenagers at art summer camps.
I’ve been teaching for about a year now. Nevertheless, this is my first time teaching at a Catholic school, and I’m thrilled to finally teach at a school that aligns with my faith. All the students and teachers at AMBS are amazing and very welcoming , making the school environment at AMBS a great place to learn and grow.
If I had any words of wisdom to give to my students this year they would be “Try your very best, and don’t get stressed!”. Art can be tricky at times, but the most important thing I tell my students is to have fun, and enjoy creating new things. I look forward to my 1st year teaching at AMBS and getting to know all the students and parents. We’re going to have an amazing school year, God Bless!
